It is with great sadness that the Humphrey family announce the death of their beloved son and brother Galen Richard Humphrey, which occurred unexpectedly at his home in Munn’s Road, PEI on March 26, 2022. Galen was the eldest son of Don and Lilian (née Baker). He is survived by his loving parents and dear siblings Rozi (Langley), Mari, Hildamay (Brandon), and Serge. Also, to mourn his loss are aunts Poppy Humphrey (Winston) and Fern Leard, and uncles and aunts Wendell and Barbara Baker and Arthur and Theresa Baker. Galen was one of the smartest individuals a friend could meet. He had confidence that was immeasurable and was always willing to lend a hand. Whether it was when a car broke down; when friends had questions at university; doing odd jobs around the house; anything imaginable. He pushed his friends to live life to the fullest, including when he suggested to some close friends about attending engineering school together because they had “run out of things to do at home.” He had an immense impact on people’s lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of calling him a friend.
